Twinaxle Trophy 2010 Results

Round 1 was the first in a new year's worth of events, with new insurance, new sites, new members and even some International representation, yes from our Flemish friends! Bunny and Jeremy set out an excellent long sections cane trial, with extra points available for team effort. The two classes were well represented but a winner had to emerge: Patrick (from FLRC) in the standard class and Magic in the modified.

Round 2 was an exciting punch hunt laid out by previous Scorpion Challenge winners Simon Roberts & Chris Ould at the Mud-Monsters site in East Grinstead. An highly competitive event ensued in which Graham finally emerged victorious in the modified class and Rupert in the standard class - not bad for his first Twinaxle event.

Round 3 was a punch hunt and amazing special stage day set out by Ollie at his farm in Hawkhurst. The punches were challenging to reach (and find) and eventually the chequred flag went to Paul Whibley ably assisted by Simon Roberts in his return to competitive co-driving. New member JJ came in first in the standard class.

Twinaxle Trophy 2009 Results

Round 1 was an exciting start to a new years trophy which started on a good footing with an Easter themed punch hunt, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It was also the first round run under the new rules which included a class structure. The two classes; Standard and Modified were both hard fought and an excellent outcome for Jeremy to win the Standard class and Stodd who won the Modified class.

Round 2 was an expertly laid out cane trial which was tricky and taxing on even the best drivers, but a nearly faultless performance by Graham and Mark put them out in front. The class structure again separated the vehicles but it was interesting to see the overal standings were not as affected by as in a challenge type event.
Rounds 3 + 4 were combined into a great big weekend of off-roading and had two separate disciplines, Saturday was the day for trialing and Sunday the day for punches.

The winners were announced, as is customary at the Christmas meeting. Congratulations Alex Jordan (Standard Class) and Graham Fuller (Modified Class).

Round 1 was a 4 section punch hunt, 10 cars arrived and were split into two groups and the event went well, at the end of the day a winner emerged and Simon Roberts was once again at the top of the leader board, with the current champion Adam Hall coming in 3rd. Round 2 was a punch hunt at good old flimwell, 40 punches 2 special stages involving map reading and an egg and spoon race. Adam Hall came first with Paul Wibley in second and championship leader simon came 5th. Round 3 was a cane trial at Hawkhurst, 2 groups weaved in turn up and down hills, sometimes even sideways! Gaining points the further they got along the challenging 6 sections. Round 4 over 2 sites, a night section and a day section punch hunt and total of 3 special stages. Simon Roberts with Chris Ould as winch bitch won the event. But after the total scores less the lowest one removed were added, we had a tie for the Trophy. A decider at the Xmas party found Graham to be the winner of the Trophy for this year, after successfully hanging something blindfolded on Simon Lauders naked chest !!!

At the first event, a small field of 7 cars battled for the title, but and what a battle, Stodd and Stoo narrowly taking the win from Si and Chris! Round 2 saw Si push in front again. Twinaxle Trophy 2006 Results

The final events of the 2006 Twinaxle Trophy were cancelled due to insurance issues so unfortunately after a fantasic punch challenge and a great trial it was not possible to run any further events in 2006. That left Si in the lead and in the spirit of the event Simon agreed to act as custodian of the trophy for the 2007 year but no honors will be awarded for 2006. Roll on 2007!
