An enormous turnout for Round 2 of the TWINAXLE trophy, over 15 vehicles arriving on site. We had suffered an eventful journey, when my wheelspacer came loose and we almost lost the wheel on the way. Fortunately our finely honed techinical skills had the problem solved in no time and we arrived on schedule to see the challenge phil had created for us.

The vehicles were divided into groups, group A and would do one set of sections in the AM whilst group B di the others, at lunchtime we would swap and do each others sections.

The first section for group A, we all watched Si go round, he took the first few gates with ease and just when we thought he had it wrapped up, made navigation error and couldn't turn tight enough to undo it. Much hilarity ensued, only to be silenced when no-one else even reached the gate Simon misjudged, let alone beat it!

We made our way around the other morning sections, I tired valiantly not to roll my Suzuki and as it happens I succeeded, although it was very close a couple of times! On one of the stages a steep downhill was followed by a sharp right hand turn, most people when straight on at the bottom, but in a really cool (and extremely lucky) manouvre I managed to slide the truck sideways at the bottom of the hill and slip through the gate.
